The CRAZY Hour..

...and Avery's crazy hair to boot! At our house, there is about an hour before bedtime that is just pure silliness around here. The kids seem to be using up their last bits of energy and are just SO crazy with Daddy. I sent them upstairs so I could do yoga with out Finn pretending to be an expert 'yogi' and assist me...but I couldn't resist sneaking back up when I heard all the fun going on!

 Seriously teething..Biting everything (notice how she attacks Daddy's hand). She has openings in her gums in front, but so far nothing through all the way!

Fireman Finny

 His birthday truck from Mimi and Papa has been quite a hit. His interest in all things 'fireman' continues. He wears his hat often and goes everywhere on his truck..he even sometimes uses imaginary keys..!  Steam in the kitchen..he turns on his siren, jumps on his truck and rushes to me with the little hose on the back of his truck.."a really dangerous fire mom, don't worry, I'll keep you safe!". Gosh I love him!
We recently had a playdate with his friend Sam..Finn, Sam and Addie set up an imaginary firestation in Sam's living room (Sam has the very same riding truck) and made up emergency scenarios and just had a BLAST doing imaginary play together!
Finn continues to enjoy 'Fireman Sam' on the apple TV, and very nearly called the fire dept with Siri on my iphone..I heard my phone say "did you say call Fireman Sam..there are 4 fire dept's near you, tap the one you would like to call"..and I swooped in and took the phone. Yes I showed Addie and Finn how to make emergency calls to daddy using Siri, my mistake.

 Just look how big he is! We have gotten rid of the baby potty thankfully and he is using the big pot. SO nice to  not have to clean out that little pot anymore!

Zoo Trip..

..and Sunshine to boot! This is the extent of the pics since I was carrying Miss Avery and allowing her a nice long nap in her ergo! The big kids had a blast and really enjoyed the reptiles exhibit with their Dad...Makes Mommy cringe to see that big viper gazing at my two precious kids..EWWW!

A Couple Weekends Ago..

We had some crazy random snow..that delighted our little boy! Yes, like 39 degrees and snowing..makes for a very wet little boy:)

 Addie attended a drop-off princess/kitty party for her friend Avery (who Addie calls 'big Avery', I bet she just loves that way of discerning between herself and her friend's baby sis).

 Addie loved the mask she made and it has continued to be a favorite pretend-play toy ever since!

Ahhhmazing!

Avery is doing more and more moving herself around with her arms. The other day I had Avery on her tummy and Finn was trying to get her attention with some of her baby toys..and she slowly rotated herself around to face him. The whole time as he watched Finn was saying "that's ahhhmazing Avery, ahhmazing". It was too cute how impressed he was. The other amazing change is that little Miss has stopped teasing us with the sleeping all night..and is just sleeping all night now (and we hope that it doesn't revert back)..but its been going on long enough now that it does seem like the new routine! Mommy is a happy camper!

Flashback..

From the get-go, its been obvious that Avery looks very much like her sister, though she is of course much larger in size..This morning I dressed Avery in one of Addie's baby outfits and had a strong dose of nostalgia served to me..so I had to look back at some old photos of Addie. Unfortunately I dont' have my oldest photos on my newer computers, and was too lazy to pull out the hard drive. The photos I found I pulled right off facebook. I found one of Addie in the outfit..and one that just showed her sweet little face and shows how similar she is to her sister!

The sisters together..Addie sure dotes on Avery. She calls her 'booboos' and pays her lots of attention. She has even taken up diaper changing duty..!

Just me and my Daddy

 For now she is most definitely Mommy's girl...but she is also very happy with her Daddy. Here are a couple pics caught a few weeks ago that I ran across today and had to add to our blog memories!

For the past month we have found she likes to stand as much as possible. She is so interested in everything going on around her!

Just a Wee bit of Green!

We had a little St Patty's Day fun a little early..since the kids classes had St Patty's day on Wednesday. They were more than happy to model a little bit of green..! Avery of course was not attending school, but we included her in the festivities anyhow. After school we had another celebration entirely since it was Grandpa's birthday...so had a fun day of lunch and dinner out, coffee and some light shopping! 

 Oh yes, we had some silliness!

Rain, Rain...Wont go Away

Yep, it's truly been a constant stream of the type of rainfall the Pacific Northwest if known for. I myself am getting pretty weary of it..the kids on the other hand, enjoy it for the most part (except on those occasions when I opt out of taking them to the park in a all-out downpour). This past weekend we let them run about as it drizzled down on us in Seattle. A light rain is doable for a little puddle stomping. These photos are at Gas Works in Seattle. We let the kids play a little before taking them to lunch at 'Homegrown' in Fremont (highly recommend). 

He was delighted with the 'fireman pole'..sure beats our lamp!

Finn never lets me get a picture with him...so I was glad he opted in for this occasion even though he didn't break into a big ole smile at first! 

Four Month Stats..

  At four months, Miss Avery is 15 lbs (75%) and 26 in (90%). We are thankful for her continued health! She is right in between my other two in the weight spectrum..Addie being right around 10 lbs at 4 months (2 months for her adjusted age though) and Finn being just under 20 lbs! Avery has seemed like a lightweight baby following Finn, though it is still taxing carrying her in her carseat for any distance! Her hair is also starting to grow in pretty quickly..and is pretty wild most of the time!

Here are a couple pics of Avery enjoying some afternoon sun poking through the window yesterday..made her tired! We'll continue to enjoy it through the window for now, since upper 30's aren't conducive to outdoor sunning.

This is what I get to see each day as I get my hair dried and makeup on...she loves this swing..for now..she is quickly getting to be a bit too big for it! He little legs stick out the end and she need to be tightly fastened in and closely watched as she knows how to get herself out when she 'done' (and thankfully she is always closely monitored so this has never quite happened)!

On this particular occasion I had to pull her out early as she was getting a tad too sleepy for my purposes! I needed her to stay awake to go do the school pick-up!
