Ready to Play!

Finn often ditches his pants (but thankfully not his underpants anymore) after using the restroom..and yesterday evening he was racing to be ready to help his Dad in the yard after work..!
"Why can't I go outside like this, I'm ready, I promise I wont be cold"...that's Finn William on 38 degree weather attire

Boy's Best Friend

As every little boy does...Finn loves and wants a dog of his own...as many know, Blake and I have no desire to take one on right now. A small house and three kids make it seem like a less than brilliant idea..but someday, we will get this little man (and his sisters) his very own retriever!  For now, his special stuffed doggie will have to do. This is his special sleep buddy. Finn is a good napper still, but this particular afternoon we were out and about on the town and had quite a late nap..and he slept hard and awoke pretty sensitive around 5:30 (so probably SUPER hungry!)..it took him awhile to wake up  and he was so sweetly loving on his special dog, that I snapped a couple pics!
If you happen to be looking at these on the big viewer, yes they are night photos with an accordingly high ISO (4000)..that that's what's with all the grain.

Growing and Changing

Little Miss Avery has changed so much in the past month! She is still our happy girl (except for this past Sunday when she was QUITE a stinker..everyone has their days I guess). She continues to occasionally sleep all night..but more often likes to have a snack around 3:30/4am. She takes a couple naps in the morning, and then typically sleeps all afternoon which is so convenient since both her  siblings still take an afternoon nap.
We were musing on how amazing the changes one year's time can bring about. This time last year we were recovering from the loss of a pregnancy, and now we have a perfect 3 (going on 4) month old little princess! We are so thankful for Miss Avery.
Changing fast..but still our bright eyed, happy little sweatheart!
She is getting quite exploratory with her hands..she started batting at toys and grabbing about a month ago and has gotten more and more interested in her surroundings and articulate in her movements!

Yes, I know how to melt my mommy...
Always has her little hands in her mouth!
Teething? She is CONSTANTLY drooling and chewing on things now..

Random days around the house..

Just some random photos from last month...

Before Mommy's first photoshoot post-baby...made me sad:(

Addie and Shouka playing in her room after school.

Getting her daily dose of prune juice..so we dont have another ER experience. Even on the prunes, she's a once/weeker!

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend (as in a week ago!) Finn was invited to stay at Grammy's as a belated birthday celebration for him and Grammy..so that left Blake and I with our two princesses. Finn had a wonderful weekend of being spoiled, and we did some fun things with our girls as well. Addie was a little bummed to have to stay home, and Finn had graciously offered for her to come with him..but we know that it's important for him to get some one on one time with his grandparents.

We had a relaxed weekend, getting some needed work done around the house..but snuck in some fun too!

I know I've shared pictures of Addie reading to Avery before..but this was just so comical. Often Addie takes care of babysitting for me while I get dressed, etc. She knows how to make her laugh, and keep her happy. This particular morning I heard Addie's reading and it went a little something like this..."and this dinosaur is MEAN and his BIG teeth and eats meat...but he can't eat you Avery, because dinosaurs are gone now".

Avery and I enjoying some snuggles

We took the girls on a short walk at UW Bothell..and it soon began hailing!

Yep, she's still loving horses!
Finishing up at Ladro!

A Visit from Ellajane...and Sledding!

Last weekend we had a visit from Daddy's sister Katelyn and her family. We had a great time and had the honor of taking little Ellajane to the snow for the very first time! We hit Snoqualmie pass for some lunch and sledding...the kids all had a blast despite the warm temperature. At least the rain cleared up and we had a little sunshine peeking through at times..a welcome change from the cold/wet.

Avery found the snow sledding to be perfect time for a snooze in her cozy ergo!

We really tried for a cousins picture...it just wasn't to be..and Avery slept through the whole thing anyway!

C'mon, sit with us cousin!
