Day 79/365

Just my boy and his doggie..Was going to put these together into a diptych template so I could more easily get away with 2 photos in the one day..but I was too lazy. I am such a lightroom girl that the though of putting the photos into the Photoshop seems like a real chore. There were so many cute ones of him talking and hugging on his doggie while I was getting my closet all cleaned and sorted...so I couldn't do just one, but I did narrow it to two.
He loves this doggie so, it makes my heart happy..even though I long to give that stinky doggie a bath..Soon.

Day 78/365 (+2 extras)

It was a soggy one. Miss Addie was better today, but still exhausted and awaiting the return of her appetite, so we had to miss church again. By dinner she perked up and begged to go out to her favorite Indian restaurant..we obliged and feel thankful she is so much better.
Avery has felt great all weekend and was only too happy to puddle stomp at the park. Finn kept his big sister company for cartoons.
I ran errands..And Avery saw me off..A side note here. As I was leaving,  Finn asked me for a drink and I told him that Daddy was in charge, so check with him..His face lit up, he yelled "Daddy's in charge, BWAHAHAHA"..Blake can deny it all he wants, but he is most definitely the fun parent, and I am the disciplinarian. We do love our fun Daddy.

Day 77/365

We were awakened at 4am by Miss Addie..and shortly thereafter we found ourselves (and our bed) covered in vomit. Thankfully the vomiting has not continued or spread, but our sweet 6 year old feel pretty poorly and has quite a fever.
This is how much of our day went, snuggled up watching movies on the couch.
Praying for her quick return to health, and the continued health of the other two.

Day 76/365

Mid morning snack. A can of black olives, and then he asked for another.. he did share a couple with Avery.

Day 75/365

Addie and her best gal pal from school. They played with their horses in my bed while the boys played 'Jedi's' and us mom's visited downstairs. Addie passed her final kindergarten sight reading test..and is moving on to the 1st grade level reading! We are very proud of our girl.

Day 74/365

"Hmm, which keys get me to Elmo?"..and check out the post nap hair! She doesn't wake from nap until about 5pm, so I see no need to fix her wild hair before bedtime. I think it looks very baby einstein.

Day 70/365

Sleeping Beauty..resting in my bed:) My angel of a 6 year-old.

Day 69/365

Passing time in the loo...Yep, she continues to try this out. She did one morning  successfully make a #2 in the potty one morning this week and the resulting applause and cheers from both siblings and both parents seems to have egged her on in her efforts. Addie and Finn are ever so encouraging of her endeavors, and both will sit with her and sing her the ABC song. She's 14 months, so i am fully aware that this is probably just a phase of interest, both my other two potty trained at 2 years, 4 months and I expect she'll do the same. But for now, how cute is she on her pink potty giving it a trial? She just wants to be a big kid. Just yesterday she came around the corner with Finn's backpack slung over her shoulder and said "got to go, bye Mommy"..um, what, sorry baby, you can't be going away to school just yet, lets stay a baby just for now.

Day 68/365

"Come and find us, Mom"!

The Nutcracker Ballet

Addie was given the gift of a trip to the Nutcracker Ballet at McCaw Hall with Grammy and I (thanks grammy and grampy). We had a lovely lunch in Seattle and the show was just amazing, we all loved it!

Addison's 6th Birthday Party

I have a history of being the worst about photographing my own kids parties..and the tradition continues. I am convinced that it is just too hard to visit, host, enjoy the moment..and photograph. So I really don't have too many. Oh well, it was a fun day, and Addie had a blast with all her friends/family.
For a Christmas Eve baby, the party was of course a couple weeks before the actual big SIX, and she had requested an Orca party.
Party princess

Her gift from us we gave her prior to the party.
Ready for a party!
Six Candles.
Love you Addie, Mommy is sorry about the sad photo representation of the day!

Day 67/365

May the force be with you!. Seriously, this guy is so fascinated with the Star Wars these days...I told Blake we were going to be a family of 'trekkies'..apparently that is not the right term and refers to another show! He was very into his light saber and so intense that the camera came out..Check out that fresh out of bed hair!

Day 66/365

A dusting. Its so wonderful to be a child and take delight in even the lightest and most brief of snowfall. All three were overjoyed by the light snow on our way to school early this morning. We shall hope for a real snow soon!

Day 65/365

She makes me laugh. Everything sweet/girly/proper..but her love for sea life and big sharks and orcas is never-ending!

Day 63 and 64

Saturday: Day 64. Flying their glider with Dad.
Friday, day 63..caring for her dolls

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Day 62/365

Her mode of transportation. She kept herself busy and happy on a VERY grey day..upper 30's and rain has to be my least favorite weather ever.

Day 61/365

(Okay, so this is more than one..but I just thought they went together!) It's amazing all the fun one balloon leftover from a friend's birthday party can provide! Also for those who know my kids amazing daddy, you will notice that our eldest has his same tongue-out concentration face. Adorable.

Day 60/365

"Are you sure you can see under there?". Outside even with the rain drizzle and cold, he ran around the yard with his sisters with his hood so low I don't know how he was able to see at all!

Day 59/365

"Outsighhh". She would like to go outside daily, even amidst a classic Pacific Northwest downpour!

A side note, baby has turned 14 months old yesterday and is just seeming so big, and  has just so much to say. It is lovely to hear her communicate more and more clearly: "go outside" , "boots", "boop" (as in I pooped, help me) "peepee" (i would like to try the big potty-we should get her a baby potty to make this easier on ourselves), "okay" , "me, me" (please pay attention to me!) and so many others new words and phrases..those are just a few of our favorites. She still does a lovely growl, and takes delight in reading books, especially those that have us making animal noises. All of her animal noises are a different rendition of her growl. The child is hilarious. And crazy. Watch this one like a hawk. She is fast, daring, and quite creative.
Thankfully she has a soft side to her and still loves a good snuggle, and spends time feeding and loving on her own baby dolls.  Okay, I'm done..just reflecting on another month that has passed too quickly!

Day 58/365

Dear God, it's me, Finny...He is so sweet when he prays and always emphasizes how he would like to go to heaven when he dies and not 'anywhere else'. Well said, son.

Yes, he is his father's son. His happiness was obvious during pie-time!

Our sweet baby and her borrowed baby. She was in love with the doll, and especially fascinated by its eyes that open and close. She carried her around hugging and kissing on her..LOVE my baby.
