Day 130/A surprise snow..I snapped this picture as we headed out to Seattle, and by the time we returned home, the sun had claimed most of it. It was a very random weather week..we had hail, rain. snow, sunshine and one day of high winds. Something for everyone.

Day 124-126

Day 124/ Avery loves to play crazy with her Daddy. 

Day 125/ "Fish Game" as they call it. We gad a fun relaxing Sunday around the house after early church..and then chose our favorite Mexican place for a St Patty's Day dinner..not traditional, but sounded better than corned beef and cabbage to us. 

Day 126/Reading to Mom while she works on the never-ending piles of laundry. As you can see, she had a St Patricks Day celebration at school today. The "Leprechaun Luncheon". They all brought a green foods lunch and had a little party in the classroom. Addie told me that none of the other kids brought a lunch bag full of green veggies, but that her lunch was the best..I will say that Addie wanted to bring Bok Choy, Chard and cabbage (seriously). She loves all three of those, but given she likes them cooked, I didn't think they would travel well and sent her with more travel friendly vegetables. She's so funny.

Backyard Play

 Yesterday we played in the backyard despite some significant wind..I was intending to capture a photo of the day, but Avery made such funny expressions when the wind would catch her hair, that I couldn't take my camera off her..and took a few more than ONE photo:)

Addie and Finn were both loving seeing Avery try out the trike! They both had to stop in and tell her how to pedal, though she was perfectly content to sit on the trike and say "bike" over and over.

Day 120-123

Day 120/A favorite toy of all three kids at this age. Its so fun to watch Avery enjoy it.

Day 121/Late night movie with mom. Blake was out, I let them stay up a little later than I ought..but it was too fun!

Day 122/Keeping busy while Momma cooks dinner

Day 123/Daddy day off. Blake has Fridays off this month and the kids are enjoying the extra Daddy time. He is a good one!

Day 119

Day 119/Just another Target run..She's happy just snacking on her apple, and yes, every once in awhile we venture from the house with a baby still in her jammies!

Day 116-118

Day 116/There are few things that make me happier than listening to Addie read with her Daddy. Clearly they love it as well.

Day 117/I frequently find our Finn resting in our bed when I come up to bed..but I haven't found Addie here in years (although she does take the occasional nap in our bed). I asked her about it this morning and she said she didn't feel too good and wanted to be in my bed, but didn't want to bother Daddy and I. Have I mentioned what a peach she is. The most thoughtful child.
We did have a fun night at the family dance at Our Savior's (finn's school). Addie was delighted that her good friend Michael Seldars was there as well and those two danced the night away, the cutest ever. She recently had asked me if Michael's parents would be sad when Michael moved away and got married to her. Lets not grow up too fast, they will be very sad indeed! Addie told me she intends to have a house right next to mine when she's married..so she wont even have to drive a car to visit. She's too much!

Day 118/Annual visit to Swanson's nursery. Avery's first time seeing Koi. She was fascinated! 

Four Candles

Finn's fourth birthday has come and gone, hard to believe! His actual birthday we celebrated just us, despite Daddy being quite under the weather with a flu, and then shortly thereafter, Avery and I were hit. We did have a party with his school friends a week later. He requested a super-hero birthday, and a chocolate cake with sprinkles and a cherry on top..so that is what he got! As always, at the big parties I don't tend to get pictures..if I did, I wouldn't get to participate in the festivities! Happy Birthday Finny.

I made his specially requested chocolate cake..this was a good recipe, and one of the easier cakes I've made..Check out the cooking blog 'add a pinch' for 'best ever chocolate cake'..we agreed it was the best ever, I just omitted the espresso powder for obvious reasons. Finn liked it so well he didn't want super-hero cupcakes for his party, he wanted his momma to bake him another chocolate cake, so of course I did.

It was a pretty good cake.

Avery has quite the sweet tooth.

         Addie picked out this cool blue watch for her brother..he loved it just like she said he would.
