Reading Time.

On the weekdays that we are home (which truly isn't too many these days), the kids and I do a post lunch reading time. They run upstairs, pick out books and either have mommy read...or Addie. She really likes to read to Finn, those its not so much reading as using her good memory recite her favorite books! We have also enjoyed a few new additions to our living room, new couches (thanks mom and dad!) and finally a coffee table. Seems about time since we are out of the baby phase and don't have to worry about new walkers!

Bathing Beauties!

Bathtime is never so fun as when you're a kid:)

Snow Day.

A special surprise waited for the kids this morning; snow! They were so excited to play, that we headed out right after breakfast to make snow angels, snowballs and a little snowman!
After naps and a LOT of snow melting (the temp was nearly 50!), Addie and Finn were dying to go out and play again before the snow was all gone.
His gloves from the morning were still wet...and my little guy insisted on getting his hands in the snow!
The mystery of the wet jeans is solved!
Experimenting with snowballs.
Experimenting with snow tasting.

Thats his "guilty" smile (Addie likes to tell us about who's guilty or innocent, and she found Finn to be guilty of snow eating!)
We ended our afternoon with some hot cocoa and 'Ice Age' for the kids, and cooking and cleaning for Mom. Finn came into the kitchen and asked me "whatcha making?". I told him roasted chicken and potatoes...he said "I want broccoli's please!". He's so funny these days, and worked up quite the appetite eating three helpings of dinner!

Family Christmas Week!

Christmas week we spent at my parents on Whidbey Island, and we were joined by my sister and her family, as well as my brother Jay. We did a lot of relaxing (food, puzzles, wine, movies), playing (long runs, hikes, fishing and shopping) and a few outings. We headed to Port Townsend to see the sights and have lunch one day, and also met up with all the extended Cobb family for a lunch at Everett Marnina.
Here's a random assortment of photos from our week!

Christmas Tree Shots

This year I wanted to relax on Christmas morning, so after I made our quiche breakfast and hot cocoa, Blake set up video recording so we wouldn't miss anything! We did get a few shots in front of the tree once the kids were all cleaned up and all the presents moved out!

We had a wonderful Christmas, everyone is so generous! Addie and Finn are loving all their new toys! Blake and I are loving our new things as well, and are anxiously awaiting a special delivery from the pottery barn, those couches can't get here soon enough!
I hate the lighting in my living room...so I often do black in whites, but had to add in a color shot to mix it up!
