Swimming Lessons!

The kids really enjoyed their 8 week Swimming lessons course at the Forest park. They both gained some skills and had some fun! The class was on Saturday mornings and Blake took them each week after our Saturday morning pancakes! Lessons have been over for a couple weeks now..these pictures are about a month or so old..

THis being one of the very last swimming classes, they got to head outside to play in the more shallow pool for a bit and (and escape the wonky yellow indoor pool lights!)..
Addie does very well with a solo doggie paddle!

A Two Kids Few Days

It's only when you have THREE kids.that you can finally appreciate how light of a load TWO kids is..why is that? While Aunt Jacey was in town, Addie spent a few days at Grammy's helping with Maddy and keeping her entertained..So we got to focus on our younger two for a few days. Finn and Avery really enjoyed some concentrated time with each other, and we did some fun things..Went to the park a few times, played outdoors, had ice cream, visited Daddy at work...to name a few!

A Day at the Ball Park

During Aunt Jacey's visit our family took a trip to Safeco field to see the Mariner's play. We took the Sounder train from Everett and met the rest of the family (including Addie who stayed with Grammy) in Seattle. Finn and Avery enjoyed the train ride and we all had a lovely day at the game. I was worried that Avery wouldn't sit through the game too easily, but luckily she slept in her ergo gladly and snacked and had fun the rest of the time, she was great!

A Visit from Florida..

Aunt Jacey and cousin Madeline visited us (stayed at Grammy and Grampys) for a couple weeks at the end of July/early August. It was very fun having them in town, though Jacey had a very heavy work schedule while she was here, even out of the country for part of the time Madeline was at Grammy's. Nonetheless, we soaked up every second we could while they were around! We did some fun outings with the kids, and Jacey and I even snuck out for some shopping and late night happy hour!

We also got the extended family together at Grammy's for a BBQ with Uncle Bill  and Aunt Jennifer and Adam and Sonja's family. It was fun seeing everyone, and watching all the cousins play.
Finn at the forest park (we had run into a fire safety demo at the park entrance put on by the Everett Fire Dept!)

Bedtime stories with Grampy
Avery and Bunni! So neat that these two are so close in age.. Avery is just about 5 months older and will always have a buddy at family events!
Yeah, she's pretty darn cute!
It was a hot one!
