Sick. Again.

I hear that you deal with more and more illness with each child you add to your brood...I can't imagine!
Poor Finn had a fever over the weekend that I assumed was related to teething, until he was up during the night vomiting...and awoke with a hives-like rash to his body. This afternoon Addie followed suit with the fever/vomiting and now has a petechiae rash to her face.

Looking pitiful.
You can see some of his rash there by his mouth/chin. Though he's not at 100%, he just had to be outside!

We Did...

...Ride the Ducks. And it was fun.

Walking to the duck launch with her Papa
Waiting in line, as you can see it's right by the EMP.
Oh yeah, Finn got a quacker!
Addie couldn't stop laughing.

Poor Finn was so cold and a bit under the weather...but it was nice to snuggle with him.
Addie loved the ride and was very enthusiastic in following our drivers instructions.

Mimi and Papa Arrived!

Out to dinner at Lombardi's

Our Wednesday

Our Wednesday included a little trip to Tacoma to play with the Mensonides' boys. It was a good visit, and we enjoyed some very excellent chocolate cake!

Tate and Finn lounging it up before their naps:
Its amazing to me that between Kristal (my fellow chronic photo-taking mommy) and I we never take a good pic of the kids. In our defense, we are always stuck inside due to weather-related restrictions.
We did stop by Daddy's work on the way home for treats (as evidenced by the chocolate mouth Addie is sporting).

Playground Fun

The weather is getting nice, and its such a treat to get out more often. Its also neat to watch the kids race around the playground together. Finn is so fast (and brazen) when it comes to the playground that he nearly keeps up with sister.
This slide was a double-wide!

Challah

Have to brag about Daddy's skills in the baking department. This challah is oh so good (though not so good for the waistline!).

Pout-Pout Face

Oh yes, Finn knows how to work it! This is the face he gives when he's told "no". Our little man is developing quite the attitude.

Ahh...

...the weekend naptime break is so much better when your hubby decides to make sangria (now if he would just sit tight and take a break with me...but I appreciate the hard worker he is!).

Another Weekend Park Day

We have been trying to keep our weekends (that aren't already booked) pretty low key. The summer weekends are filling up so quickly and its nice to have some downtime. Yesterday Blake was able to get some work done in the yard, and then we headed to Edmonds for their farmer's market as I wanted some fresh ingredients for our dinner. We stopped by the Bear Creek Hatchery to let the kids run and throw rocks which was relaxing for all!
Tossing rocks.
"Good throw".
Selecting the perfect rock...
Blake and Finn were discussing future fly fishing expeditions.
Oh yes, girls can throw too!
Neither of the kids have been to a little creek like this (that I can remember).
Yes, I was there too.

Bathing Boy

Memory Whiz

One of our favorite games is Addison's 'Dinosaur Memory' game. It is best played when no little brothers are about to steal memory cards. She has quite the memory...I don't let her win by any means, but she always seems to!

Finn's New Hat

We think our little man is just too cute in his new crewcuts sweater and ball cap!

Whose Boots are Those?

By afternoon, it was a torrential downpour around here. Both kids took especially long naps (perhaps soothed by the sound of the rain), and Finn woke up really wanting to get out. Luckily Addie's frog boots fit him perfectly and we took a walk to the park after dinner.
He didn't mind the wet seat one bit.
Flying high!

Race you to the top!

First Picnic of the Season!a

For lunch today we packed a picnic, picked up Daddy and headed to Mukilteo ferry landing. It was beautiful, full sun in the mid 70's, couldn't be better!

It was too bright to look at the camera...
...this guy didn't mind looking at the camera!
Yep, bright sun, hardly worth bringing out the camera!
