Christmas Month: Day 9-15

When I decided to do a daily photo during December, I didn't picture so many sick days, but nonetheless, I am sticking with it...And am hopeful that we will all be in good health come Christmas vacation.
Day 9. Finn is back to healthy. Can't you just tell.

Day 10: Addison has the flu, and I kept all three home since Addie woke up so miserable that I couldn't get her in the car..so they stayed in their Christmas jammies ALL day, and we took a couple silly photos when she had a break in her fever. It was good to see her laugh for a bit. She tended to be the worst at night..we spent three nights up with her vomiting  last week. Our poor girl.

Day 11: Mailing out the Christmas Cards. Since Addie was home, she helped me prepare them for the mail.

Day 12: Storytime with Ave.

Pre-nap snuggle and stories are my (and her) favorite.

Day 13: We awoke to three kids and no fevers, and smiles all around. We went to Swanson's, our favorite holiday nursery spot. The kids got an official Santa photo, but Blake stole this one while we watched..and we should get our photo from the photographer soon:)

Curly the camel.

Day 14: Downtown Seattle. We took an EARLY morning trek downtown for the jingle bell run with our friends the Schmidt's. It was SO fun, but SO busy, and we don't really have any pictures other than a couple that made it to instagram..but it will definitely have to be an annual event. There was a a 1K that we ran with the kids at the beginning, and then the Dad's took the kids to the "elves village" while the mom's ran the 5k. Afterward we did a quick change in the car and finished up some of our Christmas shopping.
Hot Cocoa at Nordstroms.
Day 15: Avery's turn for the fever. My sweet sleeping princess has been ever so Needy, and spiking fevers.

Camping 2014

This past August we had our FIRST EVER family trip. For both Blake and I, some of our best childhood memories are the family camping trips we took, and it was high time we started the tradition with our own family. Our kids of course have been wanting to go, and given the ages they are, it finally sounded fun to us as well as them. So we packed up the car, and headed up the i-90 a little ways (just in case we needed to bail).

We did the tent, the s'mores, the hiking and even fit in fly fishing lessons for the kids. We had a lovely trip, and I can say that everyone (myself included) had a great time and will be looking forward to a camping trip in 2015.
