Snow Fun!

We've been having some snow..It's not quite freezing, which makes for some very wet outings into the snow, and thus, we have kept them to a minimum. However, kids need to get out and stretch their legs, and get some snow time in!

Another Snowy Day!

Addie's school was cancelled due to the inclement weather...and we opted to not venture out into the melting snow. Instead, we stayed inside and broke in some new photo equipment. The kids love using the remote to the bigger camera, so quite literally, a couple of these photos were taken by the kids!

The Princess

Our princess continues to be a blessing as she grows and learns. She continues to do excellent in both sunday school and pre-school and enjoys teaching Finn new things each day as well. "Finn...do you know what color this is?".."Oh good job, you are such a smart boy!".

Oh yes, and she does love the camera!

A Handsome Boy

I was scared, I knew what having boys was supposed to be...but this boy is nothing but a joy.

He's getting so grown up. One evening about a month back I heard him sneaking down the stairs after being put to bed for the night...He poked his little head through the stair railing.."Claire, can you get me some milk?". I didn't even know he knew my name, and thankfully I haven't heard him say it again..I much prefer "Mommy".

This morning he convinced Addie to push him around in one of the laundry baskets. She did her best, but pretty soon they both realized that Finn is much better suited to push her around in the laundry basket, and that is what they settled on. For goodness sake, he's may not have surpassed her in height yet, but he long ago passed her in weight!

Here he is our sweet little man who requests green salad with each meal, hates to see his Daddy go to work, and always has a kiss for his Momma!

Morning Read

Addie patiently reads stories to Finn each morning in his chair. He picks out books to read and brings them to her in the chair in his room. They shut the door and don't like mommy bothering...but today they let me sneak in to capture their morning routine.

Addie kept singing to Finn..."no more monkeys jumping on the bed....." Its hard to remember sometimes for a 2 year old boy. Though he is a good listener and quite obedient, sometimes his memory is short term!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day didn't go exactly as planned this year, but I did get some photos with a little Valentine's cheer a couple weeks back. On this Valentine's Day, we are thankful for our two little loves who have nothing but love for each other, and our wonderful friends and family!

Playing at the Hillers..

Addie and Finn were just delighted to play with Sam and baby Coleson..This happy little baby made both my kids laugh while he played in his walker toy!

Last weekend...

...we went to Bellingham to shop/play and of course stopped in to Katie's cupcakes for some treats!

...we spent time with Daddy.

...we practiced modeling..A children's clothier contacted me about doing photo's for them, and I will be using my two favorite models:)

...we had coffee at Ladro before church...and PF Changs after!

Snow at Grammy's

Yes, this was last month...but had to add them:) The kids enjoy any chance to play in the snow!

Happy 2nd Birthday Finn

Hard to believe, but our "baby" is 2! 2 years old just isn't a baby anymore..Addie seemed so much older at this age, partly due to the fact that Finn was born right after her first Birthday perhaps!

Our little man is a very talkative, busy individual. He love anything active and loves to get dirty, and do anything that will make his sister laugh! He is a very big boy sleeping in his very own toddler bed and using the big potty when it strikes his fancy! For his birthday, we took him to REI and let him select his very own bike! Happy Birthday Finn, you'll always be my baby!

I hadn't planned on making a cake, as we are making 'baked Alaska' for his joint birthday party with Grandma next week...but Addie insisted that Finn must have a cake made by his Mommy, and not ice cream Sundays for his birthday. She was very happy to assist! Since I hadn't planned ahead, we used what we had on hand, orange yogurt cake, was actually fantastic!

He wanted to "have a turn" stirring the cake batter!

A few from this past month

I haven't been too good about taking photos lately...but here are the few that I did randomly take around the house. Though the camera has been a bit absent, we've kept quite busy between, school, work and lots of playdates! Blake and I also managed a weekend getaway thanks to Mimi and Papa's willingness to babysit for the weekend. We enjoyed some shopping/eating/snowboarding and visiting with friends and family.
