Peanut is 3!

Its hard to believe it was 3 years ago that we awoke to a Christmas Eve gift, the arrival of our Addison. She has been a blessing to us every day in her 3 years.

Quick Trip

We had a quick trip to Gramma's this weekend to do some holiday baking.It was great to get away even if for just one night. I had to be home on Sunday evening as I had agreed to work a 12 hour shift on Monday. Miss Addie was given the option to come home with us, or stay with Gramma and Grampy..."Mommy and Daddy, you go home, I'll stay here with Gramma!" She stayed overnight, giving the two guys a "dude's day" to finish up some Christmas shopping.

Tacoma Play Date.

Today the kids and I were lucky to be invited to Tacoma for playtime and cookie decorating at the Mensonides'. Finn was quite the unhappy mister, but otherwise it was a great time!

Adventures in Toyland

Addison is enjoying all the wonderful toys she got at her party. She got so many fun things, its fun to watch her try them all out. Its also nice as the Mom to have some new toys around, like a change of scenery or something.

Brother was cruising the living room and wanted to decorate some cupcakes and have his picture taken. He found his push toy and came to see what all the fuss was about!

The finished product. Addison did a great job decorating (and candy-eating too). We didn't finish our family house decorating as it was already going on 10!

Here is a little sample of what goes on in our home all day long. Finn got this new walking toy from Santa and has been using it to get around. He likes this one much better than the one we already had as it rolls faster and he can push it with one hand and have the other free to grab objects of interest. You'll forgive Finn his mismatched outfit as his Mama isn't feeling too well and isn't up on her laundry..
Addison yells "Hi brother!" in the film, which I couldn't understand at the time..in case I'm not the only one who has trouble.

Three Candles.

We Celebrated Miss Addie's 3rd birthday on Saturday with a "winter wonderland" celebration. Its hard to believe that she will be 3 in so soon! We had a nice gathering of friends and family to celebrate Addie, and she enjoyed every minute of her party. Balloons, juice, cupcakes, candles, presents and friends; nothing could be more fun! Unfortunately, we really don't have many pictures as it was a busy event, 40 people in our small home made for a hopping party!

She got to blow out the candles twice as she immediately blew them out before we finished singing, so her daddy re-lit them.




Uncle Adam made an appearance in his "big bear" suit for Addie. Adam has been known to wear it when Adam and Sonja babysit for us. Addison just loves it and frequently talks about Uncle Adam and the big bear.

Little Michaela loved "big bear" and even asked if he could come to her birthday which is just one week after Addie's.

Finn loved Uncle Adam in the bear suit just weeks ago, but not today. He didn't want anything to do with Adam until he was out of that suit...then they were back to buddies!

Santa Comes to Providence.

The kids got to visit Santa on Friday afternoon as he made an appearance at Mommy's work. It was quite the busy affair. Santa, and crafts and snacks. The kids both got lovely gifts; Finn a new pushing toy and Addison a set of ponies. Addison was so enthralled to be in Santa's lap accepting her gift that we couldn't get much of a smile from her. Finn, who likes everyone hated Santa...

We spent our Friday baking away for Addie's party. The kids were good to sample cupcakes and give their seal of approval!
