Grammy and Grampy's Christmas Tree.

Jacey and Matt don't have access to tree farms like this, and Blake and our family had missed out on the experience this year with Finn being so sick...so it was quite exciting that Grammy and Grampy waited until we could all go to get their tree! We even went back to Heinrich's which is where Jacey, Jay and I went growing up!
Such a trooper, she didn't seem to mind the climate change from Florida to Washington one bit!
Shouka helped too, all swaddled in one of baby Maddy's blankets.
This is a good tree Grampy!
The thumbs up to Addie's tree!
Good times with our two girls!

Madeline Claire

We are very excited to have Jacey and Madeline here with us now and look forward to Matt and Jay joining us later on in the week. Though my parents had gotten the chance to travel to Florida and meet Miss Maddy, this was the first time our family had seen her. Blake, Finn and I met them at the airport while Addie enjoyed the Nutcracker ballet with Grammy and Grampy as an early birthday celebration...then we all met up for a later dinner at our favorite mexican spot.

Addie was very excited to meet her! I hope to get some better, natural light photos when soon, but had to capture the first meeting all the same!
Of course Shouka wanted to meet the baby too.
The next day at Grammy's.
Ahhh, so cute:)

Last Weekend..

Last weekend was horrible, rainy weather but we managed to stay in the holiday spirit and do some fun things...
All bundled up and ready to do the Seattle Center. Patiently waiting in the back of Daddy's car while Finn is wakened and loaded in the stroller.
We did the Winter Festival and some rides too! We were so pleased that they enjoyed this so much. I am very glad Finn is tall enough to accompany sister. Addie at his age was not yet tall enough, and Finn towers over the height requirement!
The following day after mommy got done working, we did the train at Redmond town center along with a little shopping.
"Ride the Choo Choo"! He loved it as did sister.

Silliness!

She may be small, but Miss Addie is not about to miss out on the opportunity to give her little brother "horsey rides". These two spend all their after dinner time racing back and forth from the kitchen to living room, playing ticklemonster, and giving Finny horse rides (soon I think Finn will be better suited to giving her horse rides) Finn loves to start their races with a countdown...1, 2, 3, GO!

Finn is talking so much at this point. Sometimes his mumbly language is hard to understand, other times he's clear as a bell. Last night he pointed out to me..."thatz yer belly button", sure enough, it is!

The Christmas Tree!

We did get a Christmas tree nearly a month back...but between the two camera bodies and many, MANY memory cards, somehow these photos never ended up on our computer! We got our tree the day after we returned home from our Thanksgiving trip. We had planned on going to a tree farm, but could tell our little Finny was not himself...and then became so sick that later that day we had an outing to urgent care:(

We did manage to find a lovely frasier tree at Emery's nursery in Lynnwood. Addie was sooo looking forward to getting the tree, we couldn't put it off!
What a trooper. Just turned out to be a double ear infection/cold/flu combo, and yet he managed to put up with this trip before showing us how very sick he was. Poor guy, though he is smiling, it show in his eyes.
Addie was on top of the world! She was also very sweet to brother through our trip to the hospital after having to put off the decorating of the tree/hot coco/candy cane part of the evening.

Day at the Park!

The weather has been awfully grey and rainy around here. One morning the rain was so hard, and the thunder so loud, Addie started talking about the size of ark we would need for all our friends to stay safe!

This week, we finally got a sun break, and the voting was unanimous for the playground! The kids were overjoyed to run and play, and it'd been so long since our last visit, I felt I needed to capture the visit in photos! The evidence of recent rain was not lost on us...Finn came home with some VERY wet pants after at least 20 trips up and down a still wet slide!
Lets run!
He loves this lizard!
It makes her dizzy enough to fall over when she gets off...but she loves it nonetheless!
Yep, he still applauds himself when he gets off the slide!

Special Gifts

Addie and Finn have been blessed with some special gifts! Mimi has been sending some fun boots and toys and fun ornaments that the kids are enjoying (finn and addie really loved their Shrek and Woody ornaments!). Addie was also blessed with a beautiful handmade headband that is just perfectly her style from Mrs Renee Dobelstein!

Finn is in love with his guitar and is almost never seen without it!nd in full resolution
She looks so darling in this headband!
She spends a good amount of time sitting next to her tree...and is very aware that nearly all the gifts are for her and Finny! Both kids have been very good at resisting the early opening of gifts, as well as not playing with tree ornaments!

Coupeville Christmas Parade

We headed to downtown Coupeville for the Santa parade..which Addie mostly slept through. Finn enjoyed the sights, and Addie woke in time to catch some candy!

Fort Casey Photos

Last weekend we got to stay with Grammy and Grampy on Whidbey. I had some photo shoots at Fort Casey and was reminded of what a great setting it is...and returned with our family for Grammy and Grampy's Christmas Card, and snag a few of our family as well! Also notice Addie and Finn are modeling their new uggs that Mimi sent this week! Perfect for the very chilly though sunny day we had at Fort Casey!

Daddy throws them so high; they can't get enough!
