Sand and Sunshine:)

It is so beautiful and feeling like spring at last! 60 degrees felt warm enough to take these two, drippy noses and all to the beach at Mukilteo Landing. They loved getting their hands in the sand, throwing rocks, and watching the ferries come and go! I am in the thick of heavy photo work right now, so it was nice to get to do some 'just for fun' photos!

Sick Bay.

On Friday we woke to a sick Finn...who continued to be more more sick until Saturday afternoon he looked so bad we took him to the walk-in clinic. Turns out it was not only a double ear infection, but right lower lobe pneumonia. Poor guy! Luckily the azithromycin worked quickly and he improved very rapidly...though he still carries the cold symptoms!
Today our Addie has started to show some cold symptoms and I have worked at getting them both to take it easy...they have an amazing amount of energy despite the illness! We are thankful for Grammy and Grampy helping out since I had a very busy photo schedule during this sick period...It has indeed been an interesting week.

They are also pleased with their new clothes from Mimi and Papa (some of which are pictured here)! Thanks so much for the package:)

Knock-Knock!

Who's there.?..It's Finn! Our little man thinks its absolutely hysterical to knock on the front door and come in and out! Watch out because he also thinks it's funny to knock on the door from the inside, hide and see if his mommy or sister will come to answer the door! Its endearing to hear that boy cackle and squeal with delight if we fall for his trickery.

I guess its obvious then why there are so many smudges on our door (ick, time to wash window AGAIN!)

The miracle of Life!

Addie was ever so lucky to witness the birth of two baby goats at Grammy's. She was delighted and hasn't stopped talking of it since!
So good to quietly observe..and was even calm when her Grammy had to assist and pull out the babies who decided to enter the world in a less that optimal presentation!

Our Weekend at Grammy's

This past week has been one horribly rainy day after another...and this past weekend was more of the same. After being rained out of photoshoots all week, it came as no surprise when my weekend appointments went the same way. We made the most of it by heading to Whidbey for a visit to Grammy's house.

Nothing better than watching 'Up' with Grampy on a rainy day.
Grammy and I got some seeds started while Daddy worked in Grampy's woodshop.
We did have a small clearing in rain...and took advantage of it by doing some model photos for some clothing and hair accessories that I am photographing. She is a very agreeable model I must say!

Bubbles!

Last weekend was slightly better weather than expected...we spent hanging out as a family (except for some photo jobs), celebrating a special friend's 1st birthday, and a little shopping! The kids sure thought bubbles in the backyard were a highlight!
"You're turn Finny!"

"I not tired'

Most days this little boy finds me and says, "I'm tired, want NAP!". One day last week..it approached late afternoon and he still had not asked me for his nap, so I asked him. He told me, "I not tired, no nap!". I allowed him to stay up...and not too long after that I found my little prince like this on the couch:)

Outdoor Play

The last weeks have featured some pretty icky weather. Rain/Snow mix, wind and chilly temperatures...so needless to say, we've spent a little more time indoors than we'd like. Yesterday, despite drizzling rain, Addie and Finn were adamant that we play soccer...We had fun running off our energy:)

Dough-Nets!

Finn and I have started a Thursday morning routine...it used to be that each Thursday and Friday morning we would sneak in a quick 5 mile run while Addie was at preschool. In the past couple weeks, my recovering from being sick combined with the horrible cold weather...we have made a bit of a switch from running...to Starbucks. Each Thursday morning after Addie is dropped off, Finn says to me "Dough-nets"...which means americano for momma, and a mini chocolate doughnut for Finny! I love having coffee with my little man, his conversation is ever so lively.

Snoqualmie Snow Day!

We had the pleasure of heading up to Snoqualmie pass for some sledding with friends last weekend. Our kids didn't enjoy it as much as we remembered from last year..but we still had a great time!
