Blake and I feel lucky to have had two 3-day weekends in a row. Luckily, for Labor Day my dad also had a 3-day break and Jay had decided to head to my parents, so we headed to Whidbey as well to spend our second long weekend with my family. Unfortunately the kids and I were a bit under the weather, but despite some fevers and vomiting we really enjoyed our time away. Addison loves all the animals and the outdoors at Grandma's and Blake and I were happy to just hang around, do some fruit drying, cooking and reading.

Mom had lots of home-grown basil and tomatoes. I made some pesto and pizza crust and mom made some heirloom tomato sauce. Turned into some pretty wonderful pizzas!

Good weekend! Sorry for being sick :( that is no fun, though, you looked pretty cute for not feeling well and I guess being with your mama is a good place to be pampered some.
