These two have quickly become buddies. Kim is a nurse friend of mine, and now Addie and Spencer are friends and classmates. Today after class I got a text from Kim saying that Spencer had just informed her that he and Addie held hands today...I asked Addie about it and she turned bright red and nodded yes. So sweet!

Keeping Mommy in-Line!
Today Finn was enjoying running about naked and beating his belly...I made the mistake of calling him "fat Finn" in an endearing way (though he's more of a skinny Finny these days). Addie turned and said to me, "Mommy, its not nice to call people fat, you need to apologize to Finny because his feelings got very hurt". Oh my, I've been told!

Sick Buddies
Well, I guess the first cold of the season had to come sooner or later, I was just hoping for the later. We've been really asking for it with the schedule we've been keeping! Addie feels a very strong need to care for Finn when he's sick, and she's done a pretty good job of helping me to keep him relaxing. Its hard to be stuck inside on such a beautiful day, but I have gotten mostly caught up on photo work while the kids snuggled up and watched movies...always a silver lining..
Addie thought winter coats would help with keeping them warm during their "cold".
I asked them to take a rest on the couch before naps, they both enjoyed the snuggles and snacks!

Puddle Stompers!
We don't mind the rain here...which is a good thing as we don't have a shortage of it here in Washington. I even powered through a very wet hour run this morning...I suppose thats what it'll take to run the Seattle marathon!
Addie and I did some puddle stomping a couple weeks back...she was so excited to get her umbrella and boots out!
Our pretty girl.
Anniversary Weekend..
Blake and I marked our 6 year wedding anniversary on Friday. While we will hopefully get that weekend away that my parents gifted us, this weekend we were in California for family events.
6 years married, on the way to SeaTac airport
On the flight we are thankful for Apple...and George (our Ca-Sea commuting friend who we have now randomly share four flights with and always buys us a round of drinks for our flight).
We had a very packed weekend complete with Kate's baby shower and Brittney's engagement party. I didn't get any photos this weekend, but did have to snap a couple of pics of Addie and these birds.
The poor things kept hitting Mimi's big window...

Pretty, Pretty Princess!
This week, it has been a blessing to have some fun playdates. Blake and I have been reciting the saying "all work and no play"....It's been hard finding the balance right now with Blake's product launch, the hospital and now adding in photo jobs and the preschool schedule. Sometimes I think we're crazy!
However, this week we had a boys play date and a girls play date...and on Wednesday a mom's night out! Our Tuesday, Addie was having fun going through all my accessories and makeup as I got ready and was having a ball...later on in the day her friend Leiana showed up wearing a tutu, and Addison was ever so glad to get hers on as well! They were having a ball running around, calling Finn, "the prince"(he was loving being included!). When Leiana went to leave, she wanted to hug "the prince" and got real close, "i'm gonna hug you now"...and Finn very clearly said "i no wannooo!". He's too much!

Big Day!
Our Miss Addie had her first day of Preschool this morning. She's been talking about it for months, and it was finally time to go! She is attending Mrs' Low's class at Our Saviors Lutheran...its a big step in independence!
Daddy got special doughnuts for her first day breakfast!
She was pretty disappointed that the school bus didn't pick her up, but she thanked me emphatically for the ride "its so nice of you to take me to my school, mommy!".
The first day was a success. She headed right in without looking back, though she was happy enough to see Finn and I when we picked her up. As soon as we got home she told me she was exhausted and going for a nap (11:30 a.m., thats unheard of for her!)...she must have been tired as its 3 hours later and she's still out!
Finn enjoyed his time with just his Mommy, though after about an hour he started asking for "sister!" over and over.
Afternoon Movie
We had a very busy Tuesday, and the kids were real troopers and were good to take their naps on the go! We got home and enjoyed some snacks and Toy Story 2. Both kids were laughing outloud and enjoying snuggling each other!
Finn does this thing "mmmmm" while moving in close, when he wants a kiss. Even Addie knows his sign for kiss!
One Last Day in the Sun!
Labor Day Weekend...
Our first weekend home in months...luckily was a 3-day one! Unfortunately, the first two days were given in their entirety to painting the house. We were blessed to have Grammy and Grampy's help for the painting days, and then managed to have a fun U-Village shopping and Park day on Monday.
Bella came with Grammy on the painting days...I wonder what she was thinking here..
We caught Finn doing a nude piano solo.
The kids had a ball playing with Daddy at Harborview park.
Weekday Whidbey Trip
Last week the kids and I headed to Whidbey for some schedule photoshooting...and we managed some fun time, as well as work time! Its nice to be able to include the Whidbey Island scene in my new business as not only is it beautiful, but I have sitters available there!
I came out and Finn says to me "two!". I said "oh Finn you're so smart, there are two buckets". Addie says, "he IS smart Mommy, I told him to say that and he DID!"
Bubbles!
Lovin the farm life
Both kids were loving the guitar and piano.
Finn and I took a walk with Bella and Grampy

Finn at 19 Months!
Where has the time gone, and why is my baby so BIG! We are enjoying another period of language explosion, the sentences are forming, he's using inflection, he's an adult. Nobody would be too surprised I'm sure that one of his first sentences was "I want banana". I love that he still calls most things that go "the boats" (except for trucks which are "dumps").
This would be the "caught red-handed" face.
If ever you see this...
...be prepared for this. Every afternoon (if we happen to be home) Finn practices his tackle, and is ready for his evening wrestling session with Dad.
I had to laugh at the remark the other day; "oh goodness, you've shrunk Blake!". He is looking so much like Dad these days.
