Finding the tree is fun, but is not nearly as fun as decorating the tree at home. We had been talking about it and Addison told me. "I'm so excited to have candy canes and hot coco and decorate our tree, Mommy". I do think that is my favorite part. Listening to Christmas music by the rat pack, sipping hot coco and preparing our home for the holiday season really makes me feel like Christmas is here.
Helping Daddy with the lights.
Tree decorating is busy with two kids! Finn was escaping jammie time, thats why he's in the buff.
Having Fun!
Addison was rocking this little cushion Finn was balancing on and singing "rockabye baby, in the treetop...".
Its hard to tell from the picture, but Finn is standing on his own. He's been doing that more and more. Tonight I was walking with him and holding one of his hands and he pulled it away and stood on his own for a good 30 seconds before he took a very stable step and then reached for my hand and kept on his merry way. He's taken steps on his own before, but never have they been very stable.
Addison got to stay up after Finn went to bed and help put up the ornaments. She did a great job!

Thanksgiving
This year we are thankful for many things, one of which is family. We had a smaller Thanksgiving than usual this year, but still had a lovely day and dinner. We had a lovely dinner with my parents, and then dessert with our family friends the Larsons. Unfortunately due to poor naptime planning, there are few family photos between what my dad and I got....but here are a few from our two cameras.

Nerts
Embracing the Differences.
This month, Finn has decided no more crawling and will instead just cruise and walk everywhere, which requires constant supervision. We have been struck by how amazingly different our kids are. Addison from very early on loved/s to sit down and turn the pages of books for hours, Finn tosses books on the floor and stomps on them; Addison loved/s to sit down and do a puzzle, Finn chucks puzzle pieces around the room. They are very different as Addie is still a very quiet child who loves to sit and work on things or read, Finn desires constant motion and noise! This week at Grandma's really highlighted those differences as Finn hasn't sat still since he got here, and Addison has been working through a big stack of books!

Cold Day at the Park
We are really enjoying our days with Daddy around. We stuck around home mainly, but took a break at the park on our block. Despite the cold and drizzling rain, the kids had a great time.
Dressed for cold
Watching sister take on the playground
Addison told me "I love this alligator mommy". She did indeed love him, we had to stop her from kissing the germy reptile.
With Addison in a baby swing, Daddy can push them both at the same time!
