The Dragons

Another post from about a month ago...We have to visit the dragon spray park in Lynnwood at least once a summer! Kids had a blast as always! Avery and Daddy and I enjoyed some sun and coffee and watched the action happen. Perhaps the best part of this spray park is it's close proximity to Daddy's office and he was able to meet us for a lunch break at the park!

Seven Months..

Found these everyday life photos from more than a month back..decided to add. Love her messy face, and the way she used to eat her meals in her bumbo (it was totally sketchy since she knew how to remove the tray and get out of her chair!).

Fourth of July

It's been said before..but the Gilfillans love their holidays, yes we sure do! Independence Day is one we sure enjoy. This year was the first year we had been in town for the fourth in four years! We had a lovely day with Grammy and Grampy at our home. We did the Independence Day parade in Everett, got some sun lounging time it, had a barbeque in the backyard, and then did sparklers and late night big fireworks after dark. I didn't do a great job of photographing..but I got a few, and I am proud of that.

This was from later in the evening, just as they were on there way out to get sparklers.

Fourth of July Flowers from Grammy

 Watermelon has to be a Independence Day classic!

Avery sure enjoys mealtime these days, and her Daddy too (avery enjoys her Daddy too that is).

Kids were positively silly running around the yard with the flags they got at the parade 

It was sure fun having Grammy and Grampy to party with.

Eight Months!

Yes..these photos were taken on the night of the previous post. However, it happened to be her eight month birthday that night, and I knew I probably wouldn't be doing a shoot devoted to her eight month birthday..

At Eight Months:

She is doing a beginner "proper" crawl and is getting her little hands into everything

Pulls to stand and does some slow cruising ( and just today we saw her first couple of independent steps, oy)

Says "dada" (so cute, especially when she says it in response to his voice on the phone)

Has 7 teeth (soon to be more!)

Is a crowd pleaser..still can't take her anywhere without almost every person we pass stopping to goo goo over how sweet she is (seriously, even teenage boys)

Waves bye bye (that actually I think may have been a 7 month milestone she hit, but I can't remember if I included it

Is about 20 lbs...and VERY tall for a girl her age..I went on a little shopping spree getting some 18 month clothes and jammies for this little princess. 

Mommy loves you just as you are..I love watching you grow up, but please don't make it go too fast!
