Post-Church Picnic!

Its cold. For sure. However, the kids don't mind the weather, in fact they embrace it! After church a couple weeks back we decided that despite the cold, we were picnic-ing in Seattle. A fun basket of Whole Foods goodies, and we were off!

Yep, buddies:) Addie's "prince". They get married almost daily so Addie has an excuse to wear her princess gown.

Birthday Tea

Addie's good friend Michaela shares a birthday close to Miss Addie's. Being born exactly one week later than our princess, Michaela is a New Years Eve baby. April and I decided that we would take our holiday birthday girls out for a 'high tea' in celebration of their 4 year milestone. We enjoyed a lovely tea complete with tea, scones, crumpets, mini-sandwiches and of course whipped cream! Afterward we did a little antique shopping and playground play as we were at the Bothell Country Village. I realize that this was several weeks ago, but we are suffering from over-tired computer, and a mommy who keeps busy with photo jobs... thats why my posts have been so slack...

Reading Time.

On the weekdays that we are home (which truly isn't too many these days), the kids and I do a post lunch reading time. They run upstairs, pick out books and either have mommy read...or Addie. She really likes to read to Finn, those its not so much reading as using her good memory recite her favorite books! We have also enjoyed a few new additions to our living room, new couches (thanks mom and dad!) and finally a coffee table. Seems about time since we are out of the baby phase and don't have to worry about new walkers!

Snow Day.

A special surprise waited for the kids this morning; snow! They were so excited to play, that we headed out right after breakfast to make snow angels, snowballs and a little snowman!

After naps and a LOT of snow melting (the temp was nearly 50!), Addie and Finn were dying to go out and play again before the snow was all gone.

His gloves from the morning were still wet...and my little guy insisted on getting his hands in the snow!

We ended our afternoon with some hot cocoa and 'Ice Age' for the kids, and cooking and cleaning for Mom. Finn came into the kitchen and asked me "whatcha making?". I told him roasted chicken and potatoes...he said "I want broccoli's please!". He's so funny these days, and worked up quite the appetite eating three helpings of dinner!

Family Christmas Week!

Christmas week we spent at my parents on Whidbey Island, and we were joined by my sister and her family, as well as my brother Jay. We did a lot of relaxing (food, puzzles, wine, movies), playing (long runs, hikes,fishing and shopping) and a few outings. We headed to Port Townsend to see the sights and have lunch one day, and also met up with all the extended Cobb family for a lunch at Everett Marnina.
