Sewing Lesson with Grammy

Addie worked on learning the sewing machine a couple weeks back (Finn was happy to observe). As always she is happy to learn something new and was very excited to make a pillow and sleeping bag for her baby dolphin.

Finn was THRILLED when the rains started last week. He had helped me pick out a couple of Hatley umbrellas for him and Miss Addie for the fall season. When they arrived from amazon he couldn't stand the thought of waiting for the rain to arrive before using them. Not to worry, it was just a few short days later that we got a good rain on one of Addie's school days and I took Finn out for a trial run..Umbrellas are worth their weight in gold around here this time of year!

 He told me he liked the rain, and for awhile ditched the umbrella...as you can see he is trying to catch rain in his mouth.

Pumpkin Patch with the Cousins!

Addie and Finn had a blast doing the Farm in Everett with Eva and Wyatt. Their cousins are so good to them and we spent several hours having fun. We picked pumpkins, watched the "pig show" played in the farm playground and had cookies. It was especially nice for me since Eva a Wyatt do such a great job of keeping track of my two and keeping them entertained..they are going to be great older siblings!

Field Trip

Addie was lucky to have Daddy accompany her on the school field trip to the pumpkin farm this year. It was a very blustery day as you can see, but they had a wonderful class outing and Addie came home with a lovely pumpkin to carve~!

On Monday we had lunch with Daddy and made a quick trip to the playground to enjoy some glorious sunshine. The kiddos are loving every minute outdoors since we are a little less active than usual..!

Apple Picking with Grandpa!

While we stayed with Grammy and Grampy a couple weekends back...Finn had a blast picking and eating apples on the farm! You may also notice that Finn's right eye is a wee bit swollen..he had his very first bee sting that day and the bee got him right by his eye!

Waiting on Baby Sister...

...requires some hanging around the house! Though I feel pretty darn good for having less the 7 weeks until the due date, we are taking it really easy around here in hopes of carrying all the way to the end and allowing our princess to have all the advantages of extra days in her Mommy. This does lead to a LOT of time around the house for two busy kids..They are so good to me (mostly), and happy to just hang around, though luckily school is a welcome distraction for both of them.

They have so enjoyed seeing all the new baby things arrive. After our baby shower, we had fun going through all the things and even Finn got excited to see all of her new things and realize that there is truly going to be a new little person here very soon!

Here they are, showing off how even Mom and Dad's bed can be a good time! Sometimes we find ourselves needing to sing the "no more monkey's jumping on the bed"..as a reminder to our Finn who thinks that would be a grand idea on such a big bed.

 Oh yes, sometimes they do get a wee bit stir crazy! Addie loved this photo of Finn..she's always asking me , "show me that picture where Finny's face looks so funny"...and then.."oh brother is so funny"! He is, that is true:)
