It's no secret that the Gilfillan's love their holidays...and Valentine's Day is no different! Blake and I can both remember it being a special holiday growing up, and we worked to make is special for our own kids as well! The kids had their festive outfits (at least the girls did) treats, cards, pizza takeout dinner and Valentine's parties at school! Blake and I did not have the luxury of a sitter, but did have our own Wine/Dessert/Gifts when the kids went down. All in all, a lovely day (until Mr Finn woke in the early morning hours to repeatedly vomit)...

So sweet!! Sounds about like our Valentines Day! We had sick boys here too, but enjoyed heart-shaped foods all day long. My gift was going to the gym and watching TV w/ my hubby. It's the small things in life. :)
