Day 140-147

Day 140/A night at Grammy's. Avery loves any and all animals, including Savvy.

Day 141/Kitchen helper. The light falloff in this image keeps you from seeing that she is actually standing in my dustpan. I love this little face. 

Day 142/ Library Day. It was a rainy morning and seemed perfect for the library. Even more perfect was coming out to sunshine.

Seventeen Months!

I was thinking about this little princess today, and the fact that this past weekend marked her 17 month birthday..which means she is nearly 1 1/2!! What!? In so  many ways, she seems older, but in other ways, I feel like she should still be a teeny new baby. 

She is quite the tall girl. People are shocked at her age, they usually place her at 2 years old, and she is indeed wearing 2t-3t clothing, so we're growing fast over here. 

She has a lot to say..Her favorite saying right now is "yeah, ok". She is also becoming quite the expert in different animal noises..If you want to see something really cute, just ask Avery what a bobcat says..(I also really like her cock-a-doodle-doo and her horse neighing) 

Avery is also showing us that she can be quite the willful little one. She just loves to take things from Finn and say "MINE!!" and then follow it up with a 'i dare you to take this back from me' screech. Yeah, we're working on it. 

I can't tell you what joy she brings to us, it is just flying by too fast! 

Here are a few photos from the past couple weeks, from a couple different nights out enjoying the sunshine sent our way.

She runs with her tongue out..I think because she is concentrating, she gets this from her Dad (the "I'm  concentrating" tongue-out look).

She is at such a Mommy's girl stage..I had no intention of having pictures take of me..but she wanted mommy..Makeup free and messy hair and all.  She is just far too sweet to say no to sometimes.

Day 140

Day 140/Daddy and Baby at sunset. Addie and Finn went home with Grammy and Grampy after Easter dinner as this week is Spring Break. Avery sure loves her siblings, but she sure doesn't mind being the center of attention either. She and I had such a fun day around home and a small outing to a new playground, and then finished it off with this fun trip to the Mukilteo ferry beach with Daddy.

Day 133-139

Day 133/ Checking out the light in a shoot location with Mom. 

Day 134/She likes to try and work the phone. It makes me laugh when I here siri say, "I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean when you say that".

135/ Every brother likes to show his sisters his freshly dug up worms..Too his disappointment, she was just fascinated by the worms, and not at all freaked out. I do believe she will soon be helping him look for worms and bugs.

Day 136/Running off our energy and enjoying the beautiful weather at the park

Day 137/Sunset shoot. We took the kids to get a couple pictures in their Easter best. Yes, it was in the upper 60's and she just didn't want to wear a sweater. "I'm hot mom!" Truly a northwest girl.

Day 130/A surprise snow..I snapped this picture as we headed out to Seattle, and by the time we returned home, the sun had claimed most of it. It was a very random weather week..we had hail, rain. snow, sunshine and one day of high winds. Something for everyone.

Day 124-126

Day 124/ Avery loves to play crazy with her Daddy. 

Day 125/ "Fish Game" as they call it. We gad a fun relaxing Sunday around the house after early church..and then chose our favorite Mexican place for a St Patty's Day dinner..not traditional, but sounded better than corned beef and cabbage to us. 

Day 126/Reading to Mom while she works on the never-ending piles of laundry. As you can see, she had a St Patricks Day celebration at school today. The "Leprechaun Luncheon". They all brought a green foods lunch and had a little party in the classroom. Addie told me that none of the other kids brought a lunch bag full of green veggies, but that her lunch was the best..I will say that Addie wanted to bring Bok Choy, Chard and cabbage (seriously). She loves all three of those, but given she likes them cooked, I didn't think they would travel well and sent her with more travel friendly vegetables. She's so funny.
