A Couple Pics from 5 Weeks!

This past week our princess hit 5 weeks...and is starting to have more awake time though she still sleeps much of the day away!

A Chilly Day at the Zoo!

While many MANY people headed out for black Friday sales..we chose to join the much smaller group of people who brave the zoo and zoo playgrounds on a chilly day. We had a blast with our kids and enjoyed the Tangletown pub for lunch as well!

The Santa Train

We had a lovely (although very cold) trip to North Bend/Snoqualmie for the Santa train with some friends. We enjoyed the ride on the antique railway listening to Christmas carols and stories as we rode. At the end of the train ride was cookies and cocoa and a the chance to see Santa..however, the line was a little bit too long for the kids to wait through in the bitter cold!

 Addie and Hannah enjoyed each other's company. It was a joy to watch these two visit!

Tree Hunting!

On Saturday we did our Christmas tree hunt in Issaquah for the classic outdoors experience...it was a little cold, but we managed to come home with a very pretty frasier to decorate.

Miss Avery didn't notice the cold under all the layers and snuggled into her peanut shell!

While I took Avery to the car to eat and warm up, Daddy and the big kids had fun riding the mini-train and driving this old fire engine they had out for the kids.

One Month!

It's hard to believe that Avery has been with us for a full month now. I have a hard time thinking about how quick its going. I guess third time around you are very aware of how fast time goes by and how soon she'll be running out the door to school. It is a blessing to be home full time this year, and I try not to dwell on how quickly the days are passing. My house may messier than I like and I may not be getting as much sleep as I would prefer...but these days with little kids are such fun and I do know I will miss them.

Avery continues to be the sweetest little baby. She is very quickly growing, already out of newborn clothes and into the 3 months due to her long body (though she's pretty skinny, just over 10 lbs). Last week we finally reached her due date and it is hard to believe I could still have been pregnant! As much as I wanted to reach 40 weeks...these past weeks have been amazing and I wouldn't trade them for anything!

Christmas Begins!

Addie and Finn were given Advent calendars by Grammy and Aunt Debbie and are enjoying opening the windows each day to see the picture and verse for that day...I remember having advent calendars each year as a kid and its very fun to see my kids enjoying the same tradition!

Had to add these... as they enjoyed 'Charlie Brown Christmas', they snuggled Avery who they both refer to as "our baby".

Turkeys

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this year...though I didn't manage to take any pictures at our family Thanksgiving (I was too thankful to be snuggling my perfect princess and not nearly 9 mos pregnant to put her down). Addie and Finn learned about the pilgrims and Thanksgiving at school and did some fun art projects. I am trying to take pictures of school art projects since there are far too many to keep all of them...and they are just so neat!

When Blake and my mom and I were discussing what we needed to buy for Thanksgiving dinner, I asked my mom what she thought I should get for the dinner (as in what things do you want me to make..), Addie overheard and said "Don't you have to go catch a turkey first?"...I think that is beyond my level of skill.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with extended family at my cousin Adam's in-law's home in Edmonds. Addie and Finn had a blast with their older cousins Eva and Wyatt and little Avery looks forward to Adam and Sonja's coming arrival who will be very close in age and surely her new little buddy.
